Ryan became a Registered Massage Therapist after graduating from Sutherland-Chan School of Massage Therapy in 2018. During this program, Ryan gained experience treating in many different settings, however his interests are mainly assisting with the rehabilitation of musculoskeletal injuries through the use of manual therapy and corrective exercise. Some of the techniques Ryan likes to use in his treatments include trigger-point therapy, deep tissue massage, myofascial release, taping, and stretching. He hopes to expand his practice by taking courses on active release therapy and fascial stretch therapy.Â
Before joining Queen's Sports Medicine, Ryan worked as an RMT in physiotherapy and massage clinics in Whitby and Oshawa.
Prior to pursing a career as an RMT, Ryan completed his undergraduate degree in Physical and Health Education at Queen's University where he also took part in the Athletic Therapy Student Trainer mini-stream program.
