Q Move is a peer-led initiative within Queen’s Athletics & Recreation that promotes active living and holistic wellness through inclusive, accessible, and beginner-friendly movement-based activities. The program empowers students to explore new ways to stay active, support their well-being, and connect with others in a welcoming environment. By reducing barriers and fostering community, Q Move makes movement more fun and achievable for all.
Queen’s University is deeply committed to campus wellness, reflected in its adoption of the Okanagan Charter, the Queen’s Campus Wellbeing Framework, and ongoing efforts to support holistic student health.
There are two different ways to join Q Move!
- If you are interested in motivating Queen’s students to adopt a more physically active lifestyle through hosting movement events, leading exercise breaks, and more, then you can volunteer as a member of our Q Move Crew.
- If you are interested in leading the Q Move Crew, coordinating events, networking across campus, and enhancing your staff management skills, you might be interested in becoming a Q Move Supervisor.
Perks of being part of the Q Move Crew:
- Help advance the Campus Wellbeing Framework by promoting a culture of inclusive wellness at Queen’s
- Build professional skills through hands-on experience and personalized development opportunities
- Make a meaningful impact by addressing student needs identified in campus wellness surveys
- Stay active, connect with peers, and contribute to a healthier campus community
- Enjoy Q Move swag and access to fun team events!
