About the Club

The Queen's Climbing Club is an active and adventurous club perfect club for the outdoor crusher or someone simply looking to try something new. The club is devoted to introducing newcomers to rock climbing in an encouraging and welcoming atmosphere. The club offers plenty of opportunities to learn outdoor techniques and rope skills, while promoting active living.

Club Meeting/Practice Schedule:

Our club hosts weekly climb nights at the Kingston Boiler Room every Tuesday. Contact us for more details!

Fall Semester: September 8, 2026 – December 5, 2026
Winter Semester: January 4, 2027 - April 1, 2027

Full Year: $50
One Term (Fall or Winter): $30

These fees do NOT cover trip fees.

These membership fees allow us to cover the cost of equipment, club socials, instructors, space rentals, marketing and subsidizing club trips.

2025-2026 Events:

The Climbing Club hosts a number of exhilarating events and trips.

Weeklong climbing trips:
- Red River Gorge, Kentucky
- New River Gorge, West Virginia
- Rumney, New Hampshire (3 days)

Day Trips:
- Kingston Mills
- Calabogie

This year the club is also looking to run weekend trips to even more climbing areas in Ontario. The club also hosts social events such as movie nights and climbing competitions

 

The full name of the club is the Queen's Recreational Climbing Club and may be referred to as "The Club". The Club was founded in 1984 by executives Alistair Foreman and Chris Lloyd alongside Kingston local Robert "Chissy" Chisnall among the founding members and remaining an active contributor to the club ever since.
