Archery Adventure: Embark on an exciting Archery Adventure with this hands-on camp designed for beginners and enthusiasts alike! Coached by members of our Archery Club, campers will develop essential archery skills in a safe, fun, and supportive environment while exploring the art of precision and focus. Campers will learn the fundamentals of archery including proper stance, aiming, and shooting techniques, while engaging in archery games and challenges to improve accuracy, control, and consistency. Explore target shooting, distance shooting, and various archery exercises to hit the bullseye! 

Field Sports: Get ready for a fun-filled camp that introduces a variety of outdoor sports and games! Designed for all skill levels, campers will participate in a variety of field sports including soccer, flag football, ultimate frisbee, lacrosse, and more! Campers will play fun, team-based games and scrimmages to enhance coordination, communication, and athleticism, while working on passing, shooting, teamwork, and strategy.

Intro to Fencing: 'En Garde'! Coached by members of our Queen's Varsity Fencing team, this unique camp allows campers to step into the world of precision and strategy. Campers will be introduced to the basis of fencing footwork, bladework, and parrying techniques, while developing coordination, agility, and strategic thinking through drills and sparring sessions. Join us for a unique experience that combines athletic skills with the thrill of this elegant, centuries-old sport! All fencing equipment is provided (helmet, gloves, fencing jacket, foil).

Multisport: This is the perfect camp for campers who want to stay active, try new sports, and develop a well-rounded athletic foundation! Campers will play and explore a wide range of sports including soccer, basketball, volleyball, tennis, and more, in a wide range of facilities including gyms, squash courts, dance studios, combative rooms and turf fields. This camp includes a daily free swim.

Olympics: Get ready for an exciting journey into the world of the Olympics with this engaging camp designed to inspire young athletes! Campers will play a variety of Olympic-inspired sports and challenges modeled after the spirit of the Olympic Games. Fun team events and individual challenges to promote sportsmanship, perseverance, and leadership. 

Racquet Sports: Serve, volley, and smash your way to success in this fun and active Racquet Sports Camp! Designed for players of all skill levels, this camp introduces participants to the fundamentals of tennis, squash, badminton, pickleball, and more, while improving coordination, strategy, and teamwork. Campers will participate in engaging drills, games, and friendly matches to enhance racquet skills, footwork, communication, and sportsmanship.

Sport & Splash: Get ready for a summer of fun with Sport & Splash Camp! This exciting camp combines a variety of sports and water-based activities, providing a dynamic experience filled with skill-building, teamwork, and refreshing excitement. Campers will participate in all sorts of dry-land sports, and then cool off with water-based activities including pool games, water relays, and the daily free swim. This camp is the perfect blend of athletic challenges and water fun.

Sport on the Court: Get ready for an action-packed week of court-based sports that promotes teamwork, strategy, and active play in a supportive environment. Campers will participate in drills, scrimmages, and friendly competition to improve coordination, agility, and teamwork. Basketball, volleyball, pickleball, tennis, you name it! If its on the court, we’ll be on it!

Adventures in Creative Writing: Unleash your imagination and embark on a journey of storytelling in Adventures in Creative Writing Camp! This camp is perfect for young writers who want to explore their creativity, develop their skills, and share their ideas in a fun and inspiring environment. Campers will engage in fun, interactive activities like character creation, plot development, and writing prompts, while learning valuable skills in editing, brainstorming, and sharing stories with peers. Each Camper will be gifted with a notebook and pen to capture their self-expression throughout the week. 

Animate, Create & Play: Let your creativity soar! This unique camp combines the excitement of animation and art with active play, offering a perfect balance of imaginative exploration and fun-filled physical activities. Campers will learn the basics of animation using stop-motion and digital techniques (animate), use clay, Lego, or hand-drawn animation to establish character development and set design (create), and enjoy outdoor games and activities that promote teamwork, coordination, and active fun (play)! ALL EQUIPMENT WILL BE PROVIDED.

Art & Sport: This unique camp offers the perfect blend of artistic exploration and athletic fun, providing a well-rounded experience for kids who love both activities. Half of the day will explore various forms of art, including drawing, painting, sculpture, and crafts, to spark creativity and self-expression. The other half of the day will allow campers to participate in a variety of sports such as soccer, basketball, and volleyball, focusing on skill-building and teamwork.

Build, Create & Play: Unleash your imagination and get hands-on in this Camp! Build exciting projects using LEGO® and recycled materials to engage in unique engineering challenges. Create unique structures and designs, such as bridge-building, towers, and forts, and engage in fun arts and crafts. Play a variety of games and sports that promote teamwork, coordination, and active fun.

Crafty Kids: Calling all Crafty Kids who want to bring their artistic visions to life! This art-themed camp will guide campers though arts and crafts projects like painting, drawing, collage, jewelry-making, and DIY creations. Campers will play sports and cooperative games to keep them active when they aren’t crafting. 

Dance: Get ready to move and groove! This camp offers an exciting opportunity to learn new dance styles, develop rhythm, and express creativity through choreography and performance. Campers will explore a variety of dance styles, such as hip-hop, jazz, ballet, and contemporary, along with learning basic techniques, choreography, and performance skills in a fun, supportive environment. Campers will participate in group routines and freestyle sessions to develop a small dance recital for parents and/or guardians on Friday! 

Esports & Sports: The perfect blend of gaming, coding, and physical activity! Led by our Queen's ESports Recreation Club instructors, campers will learn to play popular Esports games like Fortnite, Rocket League, Minecraft, and more, as well as learn the basics of coding, including logic, problem-solving, and creating simple programs. Then campers will spend the other half of the day playing a variety of sports that focus on physical literacy skills, such as soccer, basketball, and dodgeball. This camp is the perfect balance of screen time and outdoor play to nurture both strategic thinking and physical fitness. 

Music in Motion: This lively camp combines music and movement to inspire creativity, coordination, and fun. Perfect for kids who love to sing, dance, and explore the joy of music in an active way. Campers will learn basic music concepts like rhythm, melody, and tempo through fun, interactive activities, while exploring creative percussion, and group jam sessions. Feel the rhythm and get moving! 

Pom Dance: This energetic and dynamic camp focuses on the art of pom dance, combining high-energy choreography, precision movements, and team spirit for a fun and empowering experience. Taught by our Queen’s University Pom Team Alumni, campers will be taught pom techniques including jumps, choreography, and performance. Campers will learn to improve their flexibility, coordination, and performance skills through structured drills, and prepare routines for a showcase recital on Friday!

Superheroes in Training: Calling all future superheroes! Join our action-packed training academy where kids unlock their inner superhero through exciting challenges, creative activities, and teamwork. Campers will develop “superpowers” like agility, strength, and problem-solving through fun games and obstacle courses, design your own superhero persona with costumes, logos, and creative storytelling, and participate in team challenges that emphasize bravery, leadership, and helping others. BANG, BOOM, POW; join the Superhero Academy!

Ukelele & Sports: This camp is designed for campers who are new to playing the ukulele. Campers interact with music from a variety of genres while learning beginner-friendly chords, strumming patterns, and simple songs. Taught by an experienced Ukelele Instructor, campers will prepare songs and gain their confidence in preparation for an end of the week concert of parents and/or guardians. No experience required and ukuleles will be provided. 

Junior Lifeguard: Designed for young aspiring lifeguards, this camp focuses on water safety, lifesaving skills, and teamwork in a fun, hands-on environment. Our experienced Aquatic staff will teach campers essential lifeguarding skills such as water rescue techniques, CPR, first aid, and pool safety. Campers will also participate in water-based activities like swimming drills, rescue simulations, and fun water games. Campers will be introduced to the 3-level Canadian Swim Patrol program (Rookie, Ranger, and Star Patrol) and begin preparing for Bronze Star. 
-- Prerequisite: Open to campers aged 9 and up who can complete a Swim to Survive roll into deep water, tread water for 1 minute, and swim 25 meters. 

Learn 2 Swim – Swimmer 1:  Learning to swim is a valuable life skill, especially since Kingston is a waterfront community. Our Swimming Lesson Camps can help! Swimmer 1 is designed for beginners, looking for an introduction to basic swimming skills. Swimmer 1’s will learn how to complete floats, glides and flutter kicks on their fronts and backs, both with and without a lifejacket. Participants will grow their comfortability and confidence by forming a positive and safe relationship with the water, in learning important water safety tips. Lastly, Swimmer 1’s will learn how to open their eyes, exhale, hold their breath underwater, jump into the water and learn basic treading skills.

Learn 2 Swim – Swimmer 2: Learning to swim is a valuable life skill, especially since Kingston is a waterfront community. Our Swimming Lesson Camps can help! Advanced beginners in Swimmer 2 will develop their skills from Preschool E or Swimmer 1 to jump into deep water wearing a lifejacket, and tread water without assistance. They will also continue developing their endurance, to swim a total of 10 metres of flutter kick without assistance. Swimmer 2’s will learn how to swim proper front and back crawl on their own and are introduced to the concept of “interval training”. Swimmer 2’s will have fun learning new water safety skills and become more independent in the water!

Learn 2 Swim – Swimmer 3: Learning to swim is a valuable life skill, especially since Kingston is a waterfront community. Our Swimming Lesson Camps can help! These junior swimmers will dive and do in-water front somersaults and handstands. They’ll work on 15 m of front crawl, back crawl and 10 m of whip kick. Flutter kick interval training increases to 4 x 15 m.

The following camps are for campers under 9-12y. 

Gaels Junior Skills - ½ Basketball & ½ Volleyball: This dynamic and fun-filled camp is perfect for young athletes eager to develop their skills in both basketball and volleyball! The Junior Skills Camp splits time evenly between the two sports, offering a unique opportunity to build foundational techniques while enjoying a variety of activities. Highlights:
- Basketball: Focus on dribbling, shooting, passing, defense, and game strategies through engaging drills and scrimmages.
- Volleyball: Learn serving, passing, setting, and hitting, with fun challenges and team play to enhance confidence on the court.

Gaels Junior Skills - ½ Football and ½ Ultimate: Get ready for an action-packed camp designed to introduce young athletes to the fundamentals of football and ultimate frisbee! Junior Skills Camp offers a fun and engaging way to develop athletic skills, teamwork, and confidence while enjoying two exciting sports. Highlights:
- Football: Learn the basics of passing, catching, running routes, and defensive techniques through fun drills and mini-games.
- Ultimate: Build skills in throwing, catching, and movement, while learning the rules and strategies of this fast-paced, team-oriented sport.
- This camp takes place on Tindall and Nixon Field and our gyms at the ARC.  NO EQUIPMENT REQUIRED.

Gaels Junior Skills - ½ Hockey & ½ Racquet Sports: Explore two exciting sports in one dynamic camp! The Junior Skills Camp introduces young athletes to the fundamentals of hockey and racquet sports, providing a perfect mix of skill-building, active play, and fun. Highlights:
- Hockey: Develop essential skills like stickhandling, passing, shooting, and basic game strategies through drills and small-area games. This portion of the camp remains on dry-land. 
 - Racquet Sports: Learn the basics of tennis, badminton, and pickleball, focusing on hand-eye coordination, proper strokes, and court movement.
- NO EQUIPMENT REQUIRED.

Gaels Junior Skills - Basketball: Dribble, pass, and shoot your way to success in this co-ed high-energy basketball camp designed for young athletes! Led by our Queen’s Men’s & Women’s Basketball teams coaches and players, this camp focuses on building foundational skills while fostering a love for the game in a fun and supportive environment. Learn key basketball fundamentals, such as dribbling, shooting, passing, defense, and teamwork, through engaging drills, skill challenges, and friendly scrimmages. Whether you're new to the game or building on basic skills, this camp is a slam dunk for developing young basketball players!

Gaels Junior Skills - Soccer: Kickstart your soccer journey in this fun and engaging camp designed for young athletes! Led by our Queen’s Men’s & Women’s Soccer teams coaches and players, this camp focuses on developing fundamental skills, fostering teamwork, and building a love for the game in a supportive environment. Campers will learn the key soccer basics: dribbling, passing, shooting, and defending. Fun drills and games will be implemented to improve coordination, footwork, and ball control.

Gaels Junior Skills - Track & Field: Run, jump, and throw your way to fun and fitness in this exciting Track & Field camp! Led by our Queen's Cross Country and Track & Field coaches and players, this camp introduces a variety of events and techniques, building foundational skills while fostering a love for the sport. Campers will learn the basics of sprinting, distance running, long jump, shot put, and more, while participating in fun drills and activities that improve speed, strength, coordination, and endurance. and take your game to the next level. 

The following camps are for campers under 12-14y. 

Gaels Senior Skills - ½ Basketball & ½ Volleyball: Take your game to the next level with this exciting Senior Skills Camp! Designed for more experienced athletes, this camp splits time evenly between basketball and volleyball, focusing on advanced techniques, game strategies, and competitive play. Highlights:
- Basketball: Sharpen your dribbling, shooting, passing, and defensive skills with challenging drills and fast-paced scrimmages.
- Volleyball: Improve your serving, spiking, blocking, and court awareness through focused training and team-based activities.

Gaels Senior Skills - Men's Basketball: Elevate your game in this advanced basketball camp designed for athletes ready to take their skills to the next level. Led by our Queen’s Men’s Basketball team coaches and players, this camp focuses on refining techniques, enhancing basketball IQ, and building confidence in competitive play. Campers will work on advanced training in shooting, ball handling, passing, defense, and rebounding, while also developing game strategies, court awareness, and leadership skills.

Gaels Senior Skills - Soccer: Take your soccer abilities to the next level with this advanced skills camp designed for athletes passionate about the beautiful game! Led by our Queen’s Men’s & Women’s Soccer Team coaches and players, this camp emphasizes technical development, tactical understanding, and competitive gameplay. Campers will work on dribbling, passing, shooting, and ball control, while mastering tactical skills like positioning, game strategy, and decision-making.

Gaels Senior Skills - Volleyball: Elevate your volleyball game with this advanced skills camp designed for athletes ready to refine their techniques and excel in competitive play. Led by our Queen’s Men’s and Women’s Volleyball team coaches and players, this camp focuses on skill mastery, game strategy, and high-energy team dynamics. Campers will receive advanced training in serving, setting, spiking, blocking, and defensive techniques, all while learning rotations, positioning, and in-game decision-making.

Gaels Senior Skills - Women's Basketball: Elevate your game in this advanced basketball camp designed for athletes ready to take their skills to the next level. Led by our Queen’s Women’s Basketball team coaches and players, this camp focuses on refining techniques, enhancing basketball IQ, and building confidence in competitive play. Campers will work on advanced training in shooting, ball handling, passing, defense, and rebounding, while also developing game strategies, court awareness, and leadership skills.

Art & Sport w/ Agnes: This is the perfect camp for creative and active kids! Campers will get the opportunity to spend half of the day in Agnes Etherington Art Centre’s Studio creating art and half the day at the Queen's Athletics Centre being active and participating in sports activities. Agnes’s art educator and assistants will guide campers in process-based art making and interpretation. Exciting activities are planned for the week such as sculpture, drawing, painting, and collage. In the Athletics portion, This camp includes a daily free swim. NOTE: Both pick up and drop off will be at the Queen's ARC.

Art & Sport w/ Tett: This is the perfect camp for creative and active kids! Campers will split their days engaging in sports activities at the Queen's Athletics Centre and creating art projects at the Tett Centre for Creativity and Learning. Each morning, campers will participate in activities focusing on physical literacy and fundamental moving skills, including a daily free swim at the Queen's Athletics Centre. In the afternoons, they will head to the Tett Centre for Creativity and Learning, a thriving arts hub and home to nine arts organizations and eight Creativity Studio Artists. Students will explore a variety of art forms with facilitators from the Tett Centre's resident arts organizations and Teaching Artists Roster. This camp includes a daily free swim. Note: Drop off will be at the Queen’s ARC South and pick up will be at the Tett Centre. More information on pick up and drop off will be sent closer to the camp date.

Cooking & Sports: Experience the perfect blend of creativity and athleticism! Learn basic hands-on cooking techniques, healthy meal preparation, and create delicious recipes under the expert guidance of Selena Martin of Cravin’. Then enjoy a variety of sports such as soccer, basketball, and megaball, focusing on teamwork, skill-building, and physical fitness. This camp is the perfect way to build confidence in both the kitchen and on the field or court, and the best part might be all the eating! Menu is as follows: 

• MON - Good morning Monday! – Blueberry Muffins, Sunshine Smoothies, Hashbrowns
• TUES - Taco Tuesday! – Taco Salad, Churro Cupcakes, Mexican Punch

• FRI - TGIF! – Pizza’s & Cookie Dessert Pizza’s 

Leaders in Training: A must-seize experience for high school students aspiring to work in recreation or in a camp setting and develop their leadership skills. This two-week co-ed camp for leaders aged 14-17 includes CPR/First Aid Certification as well as the opportunity to work towards completing the 40 hours of volunteer service required for all high school students. This is an extraordinary opportunity for young adults to develop strong leadership and gain valuable skill sets that can help in their future endeavors. 

• Week 1 = involves a half day of Standard First AID Certification and half day of team building and games to support leadership skill development. 
• Week 2 = campers will be placed in a camp group to use their leadership skills that they have learned with an opportunity to act as role models to the youth in the camp.
