Queen’s Intramural Sports policies and sport rules support safe, fair and consistent participation across all leagues, tournaments and activities.
The Queen’s Intramural Policies and Procedures Manual is the official source for program-wide policies. It applies to participants, teams, captains, spectators and guests.

Sport-specific rulebooks govern how each sport is played. If a sport rulebook conflicts with the manual on eligibility, registration, rosters, conduct, discipline, defaults, forfeits, Fair Play or program administration, the Policies and Procedures Manual governs.
What the manual covers
Use the manual to review:
- Registration and required training: Section 2
- Standings, playoffs and playoff eligibility: Section 3
- Scheduling and weather-related changes: Section 4
- Captain responsibilities: Section 5
- Participant responsibilities and conduct: Section 6
- Identification, sign-in, minimum players and game-day procedures: Section 7
- Defaults, forfeits and Emergency Players: Section 8
- Rosters and team changes: Section 9
- Participant eligibility: Section 10
- Fair Play requirements: Section 11
- Conduct, ejections and discipline: Section 12
- Safe Sport and participant resources: Section 13
- Safety, environmental conditions and risk management: Section 14
- Concussion recognition and return to play: Section 15
Before participating
Participants and captains are responsible for:
- Completing all registration, payment, waiver, roster and acknowledgement requirements;
- Confirming that every participant appears on the official IMLeagues roster;
- Bringing the required identification to each contest;
- Reviewing schedules and official program messages through IMLeagues;
- Understanding the applicable minimum playing requirements;
- Reviewing the rulebook for their sport;
- Following Fair Play, conduct, safety and facility expectations; and
- Following the directions of officials and Intramural staff.
Captains cannot waive eligibility, identification, minimum-player or safety requirements through an agreement with another team.
Sport Specific Rules
Select the applicable rulebook before participating. The Policies and Procedures Manual must be read together with the rulebook for the sport.
