About the Club

The Queen's Equestrian Club offers opportunities for riders of all levels to be involved in equestrian activities. Our recreational stream provides weekly lessons at Dreamcatcher Farm and is open to all, from those who have no horse experience through to seasoned equestrians. The competitive branch, known as the Queen's Equestrian Team, gives riders with competitive experience a chance to keep showing during university through the Ontario Collegiate Equestrian Association.

"The Queen's equestrian club has been amazing, I've been riding consistently with them throughout my time at Queen's. Even though I am not the most experienced rider, the club has been a great experience, allowing me to learn at my own pace and continue to improve, surrounded by my friends!

Being a member of QET has been an incredible experience that has allowed me to pursue my passion for horses while fostering connections and friendships with fellow equestrians across the country and internationally. Through these interactions, I’ve made long-lasting friendships with students who share similar values and ambitions. This year I had the opportunity to take on the captaincy role, which has pushed me out of my comfort zone and helped me grow not only as an athlete but also as a leader. The team dynamic offers a unique balance of competition and support, rare in equestrian sport, and has provided a valuable opportunity to fuel my competitive drive while balancing university life. Being part of the team has offered a refreshing break from academic pressures and enriched my overall university experience, providing personal and professional growth in ways I will forever be thankful for.
