What is the IM Cup?

A friendly year-long competition between all Queen’s residence communities - only for first-year students.

Each residence earns points through:

  • Playing in intramural sports

Every person in residence contributes - even by just showing up!

  • You don’t have to be an athlete to make an impact
  • Every team, every sport, and every student counts
  • At year’s end, one res earns the Cup, the banner and bragging rights for the year

  • Participate in traditional sports as well as try new activities

Step 2: Log in with your Queen’s NetID
Step 3: Click “Join Team” ? Choose your residence name (Ex. Vic hall IM Cup Team 1)
Step 4: Join a team or create one — we’ll match you if needed
Step 5: Show up, have fun, and represent your res!

How do I sign up my team to participate in the Intramural Cup?

In IMleagues, simply name your team after your residence hall and choose any open or mixed activity listed below to sign up for.

How many teams can play?

Only one team may represent the same cluster in each league activity. If more teams sign up than clusters are allotted, we will choose the team to represent the cluster based on when the team was created in IMleagues. The more you play, the more your res scores.

Does this mean if several teams want to play with their hallmates, they cannot play?

Of course, they can play, but only one per cluster can play for the Cup.

How do I earn points if I’m just a spectator?

Dress in your res colors, cheer loud, and show up - we track your attendance for points!
