Queen's Athletics & Recreation is excited to announce a phased re-opening of the Athletics and Recreation Centre (ARC), beginning September 8, 2020.
"Our goal is to see the majority of programs and spaces in operation by October 1
st. Our facilities have been reconfigured and our programs modified to align with provincial and public health requirements," says Leslie Dal Cin, Executive Director, Athletics & Recreation. "Our A&R team has been busy over the past few months getting our facilities and programs ready and we are looking forward to welcoming back our students and Queen's and Kingston community members in a way that allows them to use our exceptional facilities safely."
To ensure physical distancing and compliance with current provincial and public health requirements, all venues have reduced capacity, fitness equipment has been re-configured, some areas are closed, and some non-traditional spaces are being used for different activities so we can serve as many members of our community as possible, safely. New safety measures and protocols must be followed by
all facility users. A new on-line user reservation system is now in place to allow facility users to sign up for work-out times, spaces and equipment.
