James is a graduate of the University of Winnipeg Athletic Therapy program. Following graduation, he spent two years working full time as the assistant therapist with Team Canada Men's Volleyball. Following that, he spent a year working private practice before coming to Queen's in the fall of 2009.
James has had the opportunity to work as a major games therapist; most notably at the 2007 World University Games (FISU) in Bangkok, Thailand and for the 2009 Canada Summer Games in Charlottetown, PEI.
James has continued to further develop his skills by completing courses in myofascial release, muscle energy techniques and most recently a course focusing on the assessment and treatment of mild traumatic brain injuries.
