Concussion Awareness & Protocols Statement - Before registering, please read the following

Athlete and participant safety is a top priority for Queen's Athletics & Recreation.  Within all sports and/or activities, there exists the possibility of an athlete or participant experiencing a blow to the head, face or neck, or somewhere else on the body that causes a sudden jarring of the head that may cause a concussion.  Concussions can pose a serious health risk with short and long term consequences if not recognized and handled appropriately. Proper management of a concussion can reduce the risk of complications.   Athletics & Recreation takes concussion awareness, education and management very seriously.

Please see the A&R Concussion Management section of our website for more information

Anyone suspected of sustaining a concussion should be removed from play/activity immediately and should follow the Recreation Concussion Management Removal from Sport/Activity Protocol.  Return to Sport/Activity will only be permitted based on a clearance from a medical doctor.
