The Queen's ARC pool will be subject to an extension of its annual closure this spring for facility upgrades and preventative maintenance, consistent with the age of the pool. At this time, the pool is expected to be closed from May 15 to July 3. Updates to these dates will be shared as they become available.
 
While we recognize the impact this closure will have on facility users and programming, the work is essential to extend the life cycle of the pool, as well as its associated mechanical systems, and will ensure reliable year-round pool access for users following the conclusion of the project. 
 
Work will include a new pool liner, the re-lining of the pool tank, regrouting and tile work on the pool deck and in all changerooms, ventilation modifications, and inspection of all mechanical support systems.
 
As the ARC Pool project approaches completion, details will be shared regarding available Swimming Lesson and Aquatic Leadership programs on offer for the remainder of the summer.
 
During May and June, ARC users will have access to all group fitness classes at no additional charges, as well as extended open recreation gym hours. Spring/Summer Intramural Sports Leagues will also be available for a discounted rate for the "Summer Pass" for ARC members (and free to full-time SGPS members).
