Following today's announcement by the University with regards to the
Return-to-campus health and safety reminders, Athletics & Recreation (A&R) wishes to highlight the following important reminders for all those entering A&R athletics and recreation facilities, when engaging in A&R programs or when attending sport events.
- Enhanced proof of vaccination will continue to be required to access athletics and recreation facilities, including:
- Enhanced vaccination certificate with QR code
- ID (either valid Queen's issued ID card [Student card or Employee card] or government issued ID showing name & birth date).
- Completed SeQure app or Q Game-Day Check-in for spectators
- Complete enhanced symptom screening at check-in
- Â All facility users and spectators must use ASTM Level 2 medical-grade masks (or better) at all times within the ARC, including during physical activity. Â Individuals wearing cloth masks will not be permitted entry or participation.
- For students: distribution of an initial supply of medical-grade masks from faculties commenced on Tuesday, February 22. Each student is eligible to receive one box of 50 masks. Students can gather more information about mask distribution through their faculty.
- For staff:Â department units on campus have been issued masks to distribute to their respective employee groups.
- ASTM F2100 Level 2 medical-grade masks can be purchased in on-campus vending machines, at the Campus Bookstore, Queen's DrugSmart, other local pharmacies, department stores, or online. You can recognize medical-grade masks by looking for the ASTM level (Levels 2 are required), or an indication the masks meet or exceed ASTM F2100 requirements on the package.
Future updates to ARC protocols and procedures will be communicated as they become available.
